Color the spaces of your BattleMat(tm) in with Vis-a-Vis(tm) markers to match this design.

Note:  I colored in Grey where the Clear Icehouse pieces were to go.  The white spaces are unused/ non-play spaces.

You may change the coloration as you wish to match whatever pieces you're playing with.  Put in Purple or Orange instead!
